This week is devoted to the continuation of To Kill a Mockingbird discussions and developing more complex sentence diagramming. There will not be a vocabulary unit, this week, due to MLK day on Monday (No Classes). By the end of the week, all students should be finished with Chapter 16. There will, also, be an assessment on diagramming, probably on Friday, in lieu of no vocabulary quiz.
Monday: No Classes (M.L.K Day)
Tuesday: Continue with Chapters 11 -13 of T.K.A.M. Diagram review and practice for a possible quiz on Friday. (Blocks 2, 3, and 5)
Wednesday: Continue with Chapter 14 and catch up with previous chapters, if necessary. Do some board work with diagramming. (Blocks 2, 3 and 6).
Thursday: Complete and previous chapters from T.K.A.M and have competition with diagramming sentences. The classes will be divided into three (3) teams for prizes. This will be review for the quiz scheduled for Friday. (Blocks 5 and 6)
Friday: A quiz on diagramming of sentences will be administered. WE will continue with Chapters 15-16, if time allows.
Remember: Continue reading the nightly assignments, whether we go over the chapters in the following class, or not. The expected date for completion of the novel is Thursday, February 6th.
