This week will be devoted to final discussion of Anne Frank and a test on diagramming sentences. Of course, more specific, information will be given at our zoom meetings on Monday and Friday.
Monday Zoom ( 10:00 - 11:00) You will be able to download the diagram test. I will be giving specific information regarding the process of taking the test and how it will be graded. The test will be taken on your own time, but must be completed and sent to me by Tuesday, at midnight . I will explain at the zoom meeting. Begin going over the study guide for The Diary of Anne Frank. Whatever we do not cover, we will complete it on Friday's zoom meeting.
Tuesday-Thursday: Look over the study guide which is posted in the "downloads" portion of LMS for The Diary of Anne Frank. The date for the test is, tentatively, scheduled for Monday, May 4th.
Friday zoom ( 10:30-11:00) We will go over the diagram test from Monday.If time, we will have a discussion on Anne Frank, with a Q&A session to help clear up any questions you might have regarding the test. The test will be on Monday, May 4th. We will discuss and I will answer any last questions on Monday, May 4th. I will also give details about the format of the test.
IMPORTANT!!!! After you complete the diagram test, please make sure you send it directly to my email address : dlr48@aol.com. I must get it by the end of the day, on Tuesday!
Remember... it must be a PDF attachment, or a word document , or a photo of your paper. DO NOT SEND A GOOGLE DOCS! Thank you.
Regarding the Macy's interviews.... I will be sending an email to the applicants, with the interview schedule . It looks like the interviews will take place, the week of May 4th. (Monday, May 4th at 3:30...Wednesday, May 6th at 3:30...and Friday, May 8th at 2:30. More detailed information will be coming. Thank you.

Plans for the Week of April 20 - 24, 2020
This week will be devoted to the continued discussion of The Diary of Anne Frank . We will also, have Vocabulary 18 (words are from unit # 8), and some diagram practice. More information will be given to the sixteen students who were selected to be interviewed for Macy's. I will talk with them, separately.
Due to the circumstances with "virtual instruction", it is imperative that all of you try to be ON TIME for the meetings. As always, the meetings are recorded, just in case you are not available to make the session. Please make every effort to be on the zooms and BE ON TIME.
There will be an "Anne Frank" test in the next couple of weeks, so please pay attention during the scheduled zoom meetings. Ask questions!

2. capsize 7. ordain
3. decrease 8. outstrip

5. nub 10. swerve
I will discuss the procedure of emailing me the quizzes for Friday's quiz.
Tuesday-Thursday: Study for the vocabulary quiz on Friday. (List 18 from Unit #8)

You can, either, take a photo of your paper, or, send me a word document as an attachment to me to my email address: dlr48@aol.com...IF I DO NOT GET IT BY THE END OF THE DAY, IT WILL BE A ZERO.
REMEMBER... DO NOT SEND A GOOGLE DOCS. It MUST be a "word" document or something similar. Most of you had no trouble with sending me the previous emails. Those of you who DID have a problem the first time, PLEASE make sure you do it the correct way, this time.

Weekly Plans for April 6-10, 2020
Obviously, because this week is only two days, we will meet on Monday's zoom and begin our discussion on The Diary of Anne Frank. I will, also, announce the sixteen (16) students who were selected to be interviewed by me for the Macy's project. We will discuss this further after the names have been announced.
Wednesday begins "Spring and Passover Break". Therefore, use the time off to enjoy the holiday and get a perspective on the previous weeks and the weeks to come. Happy Passover to everyone. Under the circumstances, I am confident that this Passover and your "virtual seders" will never be forgotten.
Monday: Zoom meeting to discuss the Diary of Anne Frank and announce the sixteen (16) students who were selected for the Macy's project.
